    Updated Collection

I wandered over here out of boredom.. I haven't posted for a few years now. Jesus, you're still at it. That's good to see man. I stopped collecting before the 3DS came out, and I've sold off most of my collection. It was really hard to part with all those unopened games haha. I'm left with about 60 or 70 of my rarest games that I just couldn't let go of. But they'll have to go soon too.

Thanks. I collect because besides gaming I truely like collecting things in general. Until the point comes that I no longer enjoy collecting I'll always be doing it. It's not for everyone though and I understand why people like yourself eventually decide to stop. As long as you enjoy gaming it really doesn't matter how big your collection is.

I had to do it because I enrolled in graduate school and I had to pay bills haha. It's kind of sad to think that all that time and money I spent collecting translated into money that I use to pay rent and utilities. They just don't offer enough loans to cover surviving on a day to day basis. In the bigger picture, selling off most of my ds games to pay to live doesn't make that much of a dent, but it certainly helped.

I have my entire factory-sealed non-3DS Atlus library (every NTSC release) intact and most of the tougher games to find (all the Phoenix Wright games still unopened and random gems like Infinite Space and such). I dread the day those games have to go..

What's your total count at FOG?

Ah okay, I see. I know alot of collectors who're deciding to stop collecting because they did it just to do it and didn't have a passion for collecting anything. Suck that you had to do it because of financial reasons.

Time to say goodbye. We had some good memories, 3DS OG.

    j3YihA1v0ZNau.jpg

    However, you've been replaced.

My collection of 3DS retail titles has decreased too as I got rid of a lot of titles I don't want anymore. The ones I have now are:

    • Kid Icarus: Uprising
    • Mario Kart 7
    • New Super Mario Bros. 2
    • Super Mario 3D Land
    • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

Sadly, all my titles are first party. lol. I also bought Bit. Trip Saga, Crashmo, Crimson Shroud and Wario Land II on the eShop recently.

Feels more comfortable in your hand and the screens are super nice, but it's definitely not as 'portable' as the 3DS in terms of just putting it in your pocket and going out. You still can do that, but it's not as comfortable. However I just put mine in my backpack.

The 3DS always managed to cramp my hands while playing mario kart, so I may want to check out the XL.

If you have big hands like mine its definitely easier. However the portability is lost a bit. It won't be an issue if you do what I do and toss the 3DS in your bag.

I never did that anyway. I usually keep my 3DS at home.

I expect my 3DS game collection to grow quite a bit more in the coming year, so many good games heading its way.
