Figures Hot Shots would sell well. It's a fun game. I didn't realize it was still being made.

Sony has formally announced US launch and launch window games. No LBP Vita or Sound Shapes in sight, but still, there's more interesting games than I have money to buy (Escape Plan, Uncharted and Gravity Rush are three games on my must-buy list but I also want Blazblue, Luminees and Rayman) so I can't complain.

    Feb. 15 Game Releases
    BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend--Aksys
    Escape Plan (PSN only)--Sony
    Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational--Sony
    Hustle Kings (PSN only)--Sony

    Lumines: Electronic Symphony--Ubisoft
    ModNation Racers: Road Trip--Sony
    Rayman Origins--Ubisoft
    Super Stardust Delta (PSN only)--Sony
    Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3--Capcom
    Uncharted: Golden Abyss--Sony

    Dungeon Hunter Alliance--Ubisoft
    Dynasty Warriors Next--Tecmo Koei
    F1 2011--Codemasters
    FIFA Soccer--Electronic Arts
    Michael Jackson The Experience--Ubisoft

Ninja Gaiden Sigma on a handheld? Not bad.

Ninja Gaiden DS was good, but it doesn't compare to the console games.

U.S Prices for Memory Cards are confirmed. Not too expensive for the cheapest option so thats something, but for Sony to push DD with his model and then ship a portable with no internal storage to download these DD games is an assinine move.

    4GB - $19.99
    8GB - $39.99
    16 GB - $59.99
    32 GB - $99.99

Rayman Origins, Uncharted, and Escape Plan are mine.

Will wait for Gravity Rush. I might also get the PS plus membership to get discounts on Vita games.

I'm probably going to pick up the 32 GB memory card out of the gate just because I have a lot of PSP games (on a 32 GB card).

Moving on, going through the thread, I realize this thread is sadly lacking in Escape Plan info.

Escape Plan is a puzzler from the makers of Fat Princess, and it continues that game's tradition of gory death and cartoon characters, though everything else is different. Its a touchscreen based puzzler in which two guys (seen in picture below) try to escape a trap filled lab. When they mess up, they die in spectacular fashion (the whole thing is more than a little reminiscent of Limbo).

I have a question. Will there be any cross-platform gaming? For example, SFvsTK Vita players against PS3 ones.

Yes, they are overpriced, but the entry fee to start playng and saving your games is $20 which puts the Vita cost at $270. Still lower than the $300-$350 i was expecting with all the amazing tech in there.

It has to be good technology to be capable of handling those kinds of visuals. Still, I feel like the price of other portable memory should be mentioned.

I can get a microsd card for $9 dollars or a 32 GB for around $35-40 from multiple stores.

Not to mention microsd cards were used for external memory with PSP games. Speaking of that, I wonder if 3rd party cards can be used for the Vita.

Im guessing you havent seen my b***ing and moaning about these vita memory cards in practicallly every Vita thread in GGD in the last few weeks. I agree, the prices are ridiculous.... but compared to the ones that leaked earlier this year, the cheapest one is actually not that bad.

We wont see any third party SD cards for a while. I would say give it a year or two.

I did notice a little bit once I checked earlier in this thread, actually. That was after I posted. I guess we'll see if the games play as good as they look once it reaches the states. If they do, then I suppose it's worth it. It should be especially worth it with the 3g version, granted a lot of people get that one.

    Glad you like the news!

As for me, since I have a ton of console games to look forward to in early 2012, I may have to pass on the Vita. However, I'm hoping that Gamestop or other retail stores will allow people to preview the system. I got that chance before the Nintendo 3DS came out.

Being able to try it out would make a difference. I prefer consoles, but if I want to play new games, this is my best option for now.

    Glad you like the news!

As for me, since I have a ton of console games to look forward to in early 2012, I may have to pass on the Vita. However, I'm hoping that Gamestop or other retail stores will allow people to preview the system. I got that chance before the Nintendo 3DS came out.

[/QUOTE] Being able to try it out would make a difference. I prefer consoles, but if I want to play new games, this is my best option for now.

By the best option, do you mean portable or console? Portable is good to have for traveling, which is why I prefer something like SFXT...it would keep me busy for hours on the road.
