Verlander's best pitch was a 98 MPH fastball... In the ninth!

I think he's going to get 2 no-nos this year. I'm pretty sure Nolan has a predator coming for his record. Verlander is close to un-hittable.

Well, that actually would be down for him. He usually touches 100 in the 9th.

And on the seventh day, God rested. Having created the heavens and the Earth, the seas and all they contain, He ceased all labors. But the seventh day being a Sunday, and with all of His fantasy teams playing, He needed a shortstop. So God created Derek Jeter, and blessed him, and said unto him, be fruitful. And Jeter was good. Jeter held dominion over opposing pitchers (.343 AVG in 2006), was plentiful in power (14 HR and 97 RBIs), and moved over the earth (34 steals) and across home plate (118 runs). And God blessed Jeter, and sanctified him, and said to Roto owners everywhere, make Jeter your No. 1 middle infielder.

    So depressing.

Maybe more fans would support the team if they didn't trade away every great player they bring up.This offseason alone they traded their two aces. They traded away Carlos Gonzalez, Andrew Bailey, and the list goes on and on. They're the pirates of the AL, only difference is that they've brought up more talented players than the Pirates.

Not really. He does hit 100, but he hovers around that 94-97 range with his fastball. His breaking ball is the filthiest though.

Romero went 8.1....did what he had to do, the bullpen's been used a lot so far. Get a day off. And Santos finally gets a save.

It;s a good sign when Ricky completely dominates Boston. Sure hasn't done that in his career.

Hoorah, Verlander got a 100 MPH pitch... ... that was wild, and allowed runs to be scored.
Seriously, and this has been going on for years, our bullpen mostly sucks. Even Verlander took a spiral in the 9th.

    Vmart not done for season?

Det. look to get a big pick up late in the season. They are a scary team.

    -

T.O looking good. They had a solid hitting and run producing season last year, all they needed was some better defense. Cut out the errors, and they could win 90 easily.

With a Dbags loss to the Baby Pads the Dodjerks are now in 1st place The Rox and Gnats played one of the craziest games yesterday. The Braves have a meme now

They really need to make the highlights in HD on MLB.com like the NFL does

Tough loss yesterday. 4 home runs (all solo though) and we lose. Oh well.

Alverez starts today...and Pedroia had some...great words about him, saying he's "King Felix reincarnate". Wow.

Ellisbury on 15 day DL...might be 6 weeks, might be longer. Can things get worse for the Sox?
