    my old sdtv which i used to play xbox360 died a couple of hours ago,so its a chance to get a new tv.What would you suggest,up to 45 inches and not more than 1500 dollars.Im not really knowledgable on the subject so any advice is welcome

    get samsung un46d6000 around $999, the best for the price, high quality image, in the long run sony has better image but in the short term around 5 years, samsung is the best

    one more, dont buy tv online because of long shipping and waste time if there are scratches or something damage happened during delivery, buy it in store is better, a few bucks more but save time and better quality in term of shipping

    A Panasonic plasma is a good choice, they're the best available on the market, LED/LCD of equal or double the price can't compete.

    If you can fit, the new Panasonic ST50 50inch is only ~$1300.

    Another option which can save you a little bit is the Panasonic UT50 42inch ~$800.

    Anyways you'll find quite a number of options in their 2011 and 2012 plasma lineup, so I'm sure there is something that works for you.
