what does "cooperative horde-style modes" means?? thx

well, I pry should know this, I`m sure that I have play those "modes" but not exactly what they mean when I read it on a review, and I don`t see to find an answering by googling it.
I have read it in a few reviews here, lately on the Last Story review, which is a game I`m looking forward, but had not idea it had co-op.
So.. what do you guys mean by that? is it co-op like WKC style? thx

It's a mode where you and other players have to work together and fend off waves of enemies.
