So that more people will buy the console versions.

Or as they'll put it: "we're implimenting various improvements exclusively for PC players"

Could be piracy, could be because QA takes longer, could be for UI changes.

They'll probably use those 2 weeks to polish the PC version a bit more but since this is Rockstar i doubt the game will be bug and glitch free once we PC gamers get it.

It'll most likely suffer from poor optimizing and crash problems but I'll still get it, i just replayed the previous two titles and i'm excited for the 3rd game. A bunch of errors and occasionaly low fps won't keep me away from a game that'll most likely be a lot of fun.

This, its a common trait that publishers use to maximise sales on consoles. Some kids cant wait and would rather buy the inferior and more expensive console version as not to feel left out. While publishers will say its because they are adding new DX11 optimisations or extra features, or that it takes longer to develop the PC version even though they developed the game using a PC for the consoles.

    Console gaming is dying.

It's so we'll be able to install it to a folder that doesn't have slashes or spaces. (LA Noire, took me 3 days to install).

I played the PC version at the PAX East earlier last month. It seemed solid to me (no mouse lag, no mouse smoothing, everything worked as it should).

    PC: Intel Xeon X3350, 5GB DDR2-SDRAM, eVGA GeForce 560 Ti, Intel 320 40GB SSD

    Console(s): PS3 Slim

As mentioned, the real reason is that they don't want to hamper console sales. Specially in large secitons of Europe where if the game is available on PC, that's where most people will buy it.

However, I'm pretty sure they'll spend that extra time giving the Pc version some love, so I'm cool with it.

It's not like I won't have a ton of other games to play.

    i7 3770k @4.6 Ghz | GTX 680 x2 in SLI @ 1150/7000 | 16GB 1.8 Ghz RAM

    ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 | 225GB SSD/2 TB HD | Dell Ultrasharp 2560x1440

    So true.

And still there are peole that believe that Rockstar needs more time polishing the PC version.

Lol, I remember that list. I remember thinking, "Most of this is standard for PC games..."

OT: I never played MP1 or 2, but I will say 3 looks like a ton of fun; however, with it being released after Diablo 3, I'm not sure when I'd have time to play it.

Thats just stupid. Pirates are going to pirate regardless of whether mp3 is released at the same time for consoles and pc or on a two week delay for the pc. Piracy won't have much of an impact on sales. Unless the game sucks. If its delayed is because the game is going to bomb then idk.

Good to hear. I read some other PC previews and they were all positive.

I get why people are sceptical (GTA IV and LA Noire ports were bad) but this looks like it will be a great port for once.

It's because of piracy. Why would R* prefer console sales over PC sales? They have a higher profit margin on the PC.

They probably think that many pirates will just buy the game on the consoles rather than wait the 2 weeks for the torrent.

2 weeks is nothing, Look at something like Prototype 2. While a bad game more than likely, it is launching a LONG time after consoles got it. Same with Arkham City
