    Hey all,

I was wandering if anybody else here was trying to get tickets for London 2012? I ask as when I am trying to buy tickets from the official site, I get asked what ticket cattegory I want and which date etc, then when I try to actually buy them I just go to a shopping list screen which shows no tickets or anything.

Is this an issue with the site or does this mean the tickets are sold out?

I am just concerned as I do not want the tickets to sell out without attempting to get hold of tickets from the online site.

    Thanks.

From what I gathered from Sky Sports News tickets are only available to those who missed out last time because of the **** up with the systems.

I may have heard that wrong though.

Thanks to Brutal_Elitegs for the sig

Yeah I have just been told the same, apparently they will be up for sale to the general public some time tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can get in. How about you, are you going to see any of the events?

Not really a fan of the Olympics. If I ever went it would just be to say Ive been. I'd rather leave the ticket to someone with more enthusiasm about it than me.

What events are you looking to get tickets for?

Same. I won a pair of tickets through work and I'm being sent to see some hockey apparently. I'd rather give them to someone who would actually appreciate them but they're non transferable which is a shame. That's the problem with dishing out tickets to main sponsors as it means the actual fans of the Olympics miss out. It's a real shame

I've tried to buy tickets every time they have been available. No luck. Lost more interest now.

No idea, and I'm not a huge fan of the Olympics, mostly because I don't care, but also because so much of the process seems like a complete scam. If you're just a normal person trying to get into an event for a reasonable amount of money, it's just ridiculously hard.

I should probably make a real signature.

Got a family friend who is a marshal for the road races. Gonna attend a few to help pass out the water bottles. Will beat sitting in a hot sweaty stadium for several hours to watch a 10 sec race.

Edit: Road races = cycling, should've made it clear

We failed to get any in the first round ( mainly because of the blatently moronic and unfair way they had it working ) and didn't apply for any this time because it was limited to 4 tickets per event and I have 4 kids so with me and the wife as well........

It's rubbish and I have completely lost interest in it all.
