Same, the beta actually convinced me to pre-order. And yes I'm an old Diablo fan.

Will Diablo 3 be fully soloable? I have tried getting into the old Diablo games multiple times and kept running into monsters that had traits such as being completely immune to all physical or magical attacks, making one type of character viable by him/herself through the whole game. I tried finding a character editor so I could just make a perfect character so I could just breeze through and enjoy the story but the cheat market for Diablo is so ginormous that all the editors I came across were either malware or paid services to help you cheat in multiplayer.

Didn't play beta, or watch many videos, I blindly went into it with a large amount of faith/hope that blizzard could, and would deliver a wonderful gaming experience with Diablo III.

2 pre-orders. 1 CE, 1 normal. CE for my GF, so she can get the in-game exclusive goodies, cause she uses AMD gpus, which means no Ambient Occlusion for her. I have a GTX-570 so I get the AO... I feel it evens out a little bit more that way.

I didn't try the beta because I wanted to save the experiance for my first playthrough.

The changes they've made to the forumla seem to streamline what the community has already done. The removal of stats don't bother me at all as they only gave you the illusion of control over your character's development. If you didn't follow certain, cookie-cutter class builds, your character was going to be crap when you reached nightmare and hell difficulty.

They seemed to have solved this probably by eliminating the leftovers from the D&D style stats that used to be in every single RPG.

I watched the behind the scene.

I don't want to spoil anything but I am confident that this game will deliver after watching how they design dungeons, monsters, skill runes, and story-telling.

Of course, Blizzard once again set the bar for video-game CGI.

The level of details is just awe-inspiring.

Again, for those who care about the story, I will not spoil you.

Now, lets go back talking about the loots.

Since I am working a lot this week until Thursday, that day will be the earliest I can buy

Huge Diablo fan and despite some reservations about the game after playing the beta, I walked away with a positive experience overall and thus, will be purchasing the game

Thank goodness a sticky is made, and I have to agree with what others said about the build system, actually...

Stats vs No Stats: As much as I love Attributes, I only love them when they are implemented right. Good attribute systems would be that in Fallout, Dungeons&Dragons and the likes, you know where your attributes are for most of the part static. I always thought that having attributes that scaled wildly not only ruined the core strengths of the system, but made it utterly silly. Stats in Diablo 2 felt like they were there for their own sake.

Skill System: While D3's system does not appeal as much to my inner min maxer like D2's Skill System. I personally feel the D3 system allows for more depth and possibly more viable builds. No longer does it seem to be as much about maxing your favorite Skill and its synergies and more about finding a set of 6 skills that work well together and to further customize them with runes.

Respeccing: I feel it is a welcome addition. As much as I miss the sense of permanency the previous system had, I do feel that rerolling your char because of one mistake is a bit unnecessary. I feel that the good outweighs the bad in this regard.

I hear some people whine about being unable to create a gimped char, but guess what you can still do that. Just pick skills and rune combos that synergize poorly and there you go, a garbage character.
