I'm waiting for the inevitable .99 cent sale.

Playing through the second one now, never ended up playing it after I got it ages ago.

Playing it on an HDTV with HDMI output is amazing. Feels like a console game.

all the game needs to do now is support third party controller accessories... and we're pretty much being slowly weaned off of current gen consoles.

Nova 3, Modern Combat 3, Dead Space, Shadowgun, etc. IMHO, you can now (almost) get the full console shooter experience on an IOS device.

Currently playing Max Payne, and I'm blown away at how the studio managed to port the entire game onto a tiny screen.

Controls are always going to be iffy on a touchscreen device, would be nice if someone could make a hardware addon with a couple of sticks.

I agree Nova 3 looks amazing. Gameloft are those who pushes the limit of Smartphone and Tablet games for sure. I had an Android smartphone before I got the Iphone 4s and now recently bought the Ipad 3.

Nova 3 on Android is a watered down version in terms of drawdistance and special effects like billowing smoke etc etc. Actually more resembles the Ipad 3 version on the highest resolution. But overall I am glad I can run this game on my Iphone 4s in itīs full glory and I also of course run it with all effects enabled on my Ipad 3 with the lower resolution option.

    Desktop Rig:

    CoreI7 2600k@ 4.2GHz, 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz, Asus 680GTX Core 1020 / Mem 6008, Western Digital 1TB SATA3 7200 RPM, Asus 1920x1080 LED.

    New GamingLaptop:

    Dell XPS M1730, X9000 3,8GHz 800MHz FSB, 4GB 667MHz SDRAM, Dual 8800m GTX 512MB in SLI,320GB 7200RPM in RAID 0,Ageia PhysX processor,WUXGA 1920x1200 7ms response time.

    Ipad 3 and Iphone 4s

I'm waiting too. But even then I wont be playing it for a while because I've yet to start NOVA 2 and I have a ton of other games to get through.

Depends on the Android phone you have. A Samsung Galaxy S3 will have better visuals and effects compared to something like the Galaxy S1.

Is this game as stale as other gameloft games though, or did they actually make a greater effort on the dialogue etc.
Honestly i have to say gameloft is pretty much all flash no substance, they are the worst when it comes to creating an interesting story or dialogue. It feels so generic, so cheap.

The android version would not be the same through all devices so it depends on which phone you had.

No there is no Tegra 3 version of the game yet. Try run the game on the Galaxy S3 and you will ser that there is absent billowing smoke, less draw distance and less particle effects.

You obviously haven't used one, my brother has one and his has all that and it runs perfectly. Other Android phones can have it as well by downloading Chainfire 3D plugin to get the added effects. I believe alot of the higher end phones have all this be default. That's the power of Android right there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncwiDEDdOdo

Considering how cheap their games are they have to take a hit somewhere. When I want a full blockbuster experience I'll play on a console or PC, but even then polish isn't guaranteed. I like the different standards though based on what you're willing to pay.

I cant think of a better mobile developer, can you? MC3 and NOVA 3 are probably the best easily.

After playing their games i just really opted for more casual games as tomarlyn said the experience isn't polished or refined. As for me i can't ply games that have extremely bad dialogues and voice overs, id rather it be old school FF here they were actually silent and you click the screen to scroll to the next dialogue box.
I just play games such as cytus now.
Any way shadowgun is probably the best shooting experience i played on my handheld, Dead space wasn't too bad either, but i just don't really play these shooting games on a touch screen.
But when you compare RPG's where its heavily story oriented Eternal legacy is one of the crappest games out there, even gamevil with there zenonia games or com2us with their inotia games are far superior. Let alone FF III which creams all other rpg's available.
