Next Week's Assignment - Rated M for Murder
"Violence is the first refuge of the violent." - Aaron AllstonVideo games are no stranger to graphic depictions of blood, gore, and other forms of violence and these frequent appearances have impacted all gamers. For years violent games have been targeted by political figures, censorship laws, and
various groups (such as BCTF and MAVAV) in an attempt to purge gaming from these blood soaked pixels. What is your stance on violence in games? Need some inspiration, consider these topics: should violent video games be banned? Perhaps be
stricter rules for these types of games? Or are the rules too strict already? Be sure to sound off in the roll call thread here with your awesome Chalk Talk entry!Deadline to post a link to your Chalk Talk Submission is FRIDAY September 21st at 10:00am PT
A few additional things to remember about your Chalk Talk Submission:
- Entries must be a minimum of 500 words.
- Do not use altered text fonts, colors, and be aware of your formatting.
- Select at least one image to act as your "Cover Shot".
- Mark your blog as EDITORIAL - Sep 14, 2012 9:08 pm GMT

All the ladies below (mostly drawn by a certain awesome but, for better or worse, not-so-well known fan artist) are actual game characters, though not (necessarily) THAT kind of games if you are thinking about those.
Maybe you want to read this: POSSIBLE BAIT & SWITCH IN TRIBES: ASCEND.

She may be the only one reading the submissions. If that is so, then she's only one person having to read quite a number of blogs - and that's not the only thing that she has to do over at GameSpot.

Cheer up angel, your in perfect harmony blog was amazing (and was totally considered)! But part of Chalk Talk is giving others a chance to be featured. It was one of the major complaints about Soap Box that it seemed as though the same people were always being featured. There were a bunch of submissions for this weeks and we needed to look at all of them. Rest assured your writing is fabulous and I encourage you to keep at it.
I'm sure your wondering why in the past some members had been featured twice, and that is due to a lack of submissions. our goal is to always have a Chalk Talk but sometimes certain topics don't evoke the same emotions in others as the rest. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Im interested in this. Having a few personal IRL problems, and i could use a good vent. Especially on a hot topic like this.

I have made another entry. I hope the fact that my last blog was mentioned doesn't deter you from considering this one. It was a pretty difficult subject to mull over but hopefully it's a worthy effort.

[/QUOTE] Thank you very much for your words and for encouraging us to continue writing Synthia! :) Well, I would lie if I say I wasnt a little demotivated at first :(, but I completely understand the reasons :). This is a very interesting topic and I wish all the writers the best :)! I will definitely be back for the next topic and will do my best there too ! :D!!
