Everyone has different tastes / preferences. What types of games do you like to play, and what are some of your current favorites?

Fanboy: People who refuse to own a product made by a company in competition with the company who made the product they bought and supported because "it sucks". Then they treat the item(s) they do own as being creations of perfection (NOTHING IS PERFECT). They also can't provide any real reason why the other product does "suck"..."It just does!"...

Not sure what you like but if you are looking for cheap good games I will recommend Gears 1 & 2, Perfect Dark, and Blue Dragon. That will give you a third person shooter, fps, and a JRPG. A lot of people didn't like Perfect Dark, but I found it to be pretty good.

I Gears 1 & 2 are a must, but I would recommend Lost Odyssey over Blue Dragon! Don't get me wrong I did not mind Blue Dragon, but Lost Odyssey was just superior in every way.

If you haven't played the original Bioshock or Dead Space I would definitely get those. Dead Space to me is the best gaming experience this generation...

    Playing video games since 1988!

Some of my favorites for the system include Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata, and Dead Rising.

Have you got into the halo series? It's my favorite shooter game. It may be hard for you to catch up on ALL the games though. It may only be worth getting if you have live though.

Another fun shooter is bioshock. Start from the first one.

For action adventure/platforming, theres kameo. It's pretty old, which makes it cheap, and it's very fun, the gameplay is so varied, I never got bored.

I also enjoyed fable (especially fable 2, 3 isn't as good), and portal. I don't know, what games have you played already?

Definitely Dead Space series. The Darkness is a great series too, even though the second game came out this year and it isn't up to par with the first one. I can recommend Two Worlds 2 as a cheap, but very expansive RPG and also The Witcher 2, which is an incredible story-based, tactical RPG. Cheers!

    Red faction guerrilla.

It's open world (or is that planet..?), it's mars and you blow whole buildings up (Or is that down..?)

    Either way, it's great.

Definately the Gears of War series, but as for more less popular games... (only going to list the games you probably won't have heard of, or on the other hand at least for some time)

    Mafia II
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2
    Tomb Raider: Anniversary
    The Sims 3
Split/Second (if you have never played Burnout I recommend those too, but Split/Second is a great little game)

If you like strategy games or collectible card games, Culdcept Saga is definitely worth a look. It's sort of a strange mix, but a really excellent game.
