I'd get the version on the 3DS over all of those. Its called Resident Evil : Revelations.

It's still the greatest game ever made, only it's in HD this time. Buy it, now.

Playing it right now actually. I've played the Gamecube and PS2 version, and this is easily the best version out there. The new controls are nice (though you still need to stand still and use left stick to aim), its got the best graphical quality out there and its got all the stuff you got on the Wii and PS2 versions.

The Ada campaign doesn't get a resolution boost during cutscenes, which really shows, but otherwise its RE4 goodness in HD. I even reviewed it for fun (if you care)!

I reviewed it as well, and it's definitely the worst looking and sounding version.

Basically, all this hoopla about RE6 has made want to play RE4 again. I have a few options. I own the game on PS2, but my copy is back home. I could get my girlfriend to send it to me, or, I could check out RE4 HD, cuz my roommate has a PS3. OR, I could get the PC version of RE4, but I've heard it has some issues.

So, system wars, what do you think? HD worth it on the PS3? And does it have all the content that was in the PS2 version (Ada's campaign, all the Mercs maps)? And for any PC gamers who've played it on there, are the issues that bad? Have they been fixed with patches? Is there sweet mods?

General recommended mods(you should also make a account on this site to view some of the threads):

-Resident Evil 4 PC Texture Patch 2.0 By Albert
    -Enhanced Environment 1.5 By Cerberus
    -Lighting Tweaks by Cdiddy7
-RE4 Community Patch (Basic) by Various, put together by Slayer-x

The modded version of RE4 has the best graphics, the best controls and the most content, though it's a hassle to add all of the mods. If you don't mind, then the end result is the definite version. As for other recommended mods, here's a good list.

You can check the list of allmods here. Obviously don't have to add them all, just a few.

Wii version is the best. The motion controls actually help Reduce the otherwise sluggish controls, at least a bit. Sure you could do PC, but sometimes I think upping resing everything, with higher res textures, while retaining the same basic geometry, actually looks worse. RE4 has that 16mm horror feel IMO.

Pretty sure it's just the Wii Version in HD.

Can't you also use the Move to do all the Wii Controls too? or Am I just Dreaming that?

    Mod the PC version!

Vanilla is bad, but playable, since I even completed it on Professional back in the day (Krauser was hell!). Modded one is awesome, and highly recommended!

Still, look up some Youtube vids, they should help you decide more easier...

I have some moded RE4 PC vidz on Youtube in high quality.

For example here is one of mine.

From what I hear, it's simply an upscale port of the PS2 version.

Well, I'm getting my PS2 copy back. But I also got the PC version, after seeing what could be done with mods. Here's a shot, with nothing but the Texture pack that lucianu linked to, replacement on-screen button prompts, and ENB. Also, forced to 1920x1080 through the ini file, because 1280x800 is the only widescreen res supported in the launcher. Open in new tab for full size. Gonna check out the "enhanced environment" mod today.

I played it on 360 and it was just like the original, right down to the clunky controls.
