    I would pick Marcus Fenix anyday over Master Chief for my favorite character any day. Marcus Fenix has a bad ass attitude and a chainsaw that allows him to hack enemies to pieces.

    Granted I think Master Chief has gumption, but to go into a fire fight with heavy armor Marcus is my choice.

    Halo 4 is Xbox's last stand. So Master Chief comes back for round four, but is it as good as when Marcus thought everything wsa done with the Lightmass bomb, only 6 months later to figure out that there is a lot more where these locusts came from.

    I would love to know which game a gamer would like to play and which character is more "bad ass."

    I would rather be master chief. Shields, full body armor, and the skill to use any weapon or vehicle. Master chief to me is more badass than marcus, just because you never see his face, and his personality is so calm and collected.

    Marcus is still cool though, but my personal taste chooses master chief.

    I love both the Halo and Gears franchises both with a passion. But I would say Master Chief is better, but only because he more original and he's been around longer.

    Both are horrible characters. I'd pick Marcus Fenix because his chainsaw rifle is really cool.

    I never really got into Gears that much... Halo, on the other hand, is downright my favorite series of all time.

    So I'm going with Master Chief.

    Master Chief. He a much better character than Fenix in my opinion. He fights better and has accomplished a lot more than Fenix has. I do like Fenix too but Master cheif is much better.

    although Marcus is a good fighter i would bet on Master chief any day due to the tech advantage he has over Marcus. but a gear of war halo game would be awesome.
