Black screen when trying to start up games.
- Nov 16, 2012 4:53 am GMT
Ok.This started just about an hour ago.
this is what happend.
First I tried to start up my black ops 1 it came up with a black screen.
So then I turned off my ps3 and turned it back on.Then black ops didnt appear. So i tried Just cause 2 (digital) it had black screen aswell.
So then I turned my ps3 off and then on again. It was making a weird noise but then black ops 1 appeared and it worked!! (however my ps3 wasnt connected to the internet this time since I was searching on google for a soloution my ethernet wasnt in the ps3)So then I connected to ps3 it tells me to update so I update. then I get the black screen)
Again I turned my ps3 off and on.It told me to update black ops 1 so I clicked yes. Then It just went back to login then back to XMB by itself.
So now I just tried Just cause 2 again and its at a black screen.I give upppppp!!!
My black ops 1 is unistalled it just tells me to update/I get a black screen.(I have ps plus so maybe will auto update fix it?)It works when im not connected to the internet. An installed game such as JC2 doesnt work.Maybe the disc reader is broken? It happend to me 3 years ago it wouldnt read discs but then I clicked option 3 in recovery thingy and then it started working.
Please help me.I think I will try auto update now to see if it fixes but I doubt it will since my installed game doesnt work.

"Gamespot System Wars. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."
didn't even notice this. lol. back any save files up that you have and then go into the safe mode and you can do a factory reset. that will most likely fix your problem. note that you will lose any/all information on the ps3. but i can all but guarantee that it will fix it.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.
