Far Cry 3 - My Review
- Jan 12, 2013 1:15 pm GMTSo after finally completing the game today, I decided to share my thoughts on the game. {Spoilers will be notified before showing}
The story was amazing and well executed. I loved the twists you would get sometimes in a story mission. The voice acting for the characters were simply awesome and I my favourite voice actors were Vaas' and Sam. The way you the game got you to like characters and hate others made the game so much more and made it worth playing.

The gameplay was smooth and the layout of everything was well thought out. Obviously there were a few glitches but they made me laugh and weren't something to go rage over. The only problem I had was that the loading screens were long (10-12 secs) but I guess that's what you get when you are playing a game on an Xbox.
As I was playing in 1080p I have to say that the effects and landscape looked so beautiful and there is a lot of detail. There's always a choice where you want to snipe or where you could pull off some epic takedown. Yes when your up close when skinning animals the fur is pixelated but I really didn't care less. The great thing about this game is that you can choose how you tackle a problem when taking out an outpost or hunting an animal. I'm always trying new tactics and techniques to achieve my goal and that made this game super duper!

Now the endings (yes, there are 2) of this game were absolutely amazing. When you save your friends I would have never thought Citra would have been killed by Dennis (accidental). I chose this one. Then I looked up the other ending and you kill Liza but what about the others? The you have s*x with Citra and that I thought was a LOL. But I then realised how Citra was a B*tch when she stabs you and says your baby will be the king. (What if it's a girl??)
I was really annoyed when Hoyt killed Sam cause I was really not expecting that to happen.

So out of 5 stars I will give it **** The game was amazing, beautiful and thrilling but not all games can be perfect

The story was promising at the beginning and then it's getting worse. But love the gameplay though (just wish the main missions were more open ended). It's my 2012 GOTY

Good review, but I am personally waiting for a price drop. My GOTY for 2012 was Mass Effect 3.
Also you seem new here so you can actually do user reviews of games yourself on here, just enter the name of the game in the search bar and select the option where you can edit your own review, choose for what platform, and there you go. Only downside is you can't upload pictures to it, and I prefer the 1-5 with NO half points over the 1-10 half point system.
