    I was just wondering if you had a 1440p monitor that required a beast of a PC to run higher end games such as Far Cry 3, or Crysis 3. Could you turn the resolution down to 1080p so you could max out the graphics?

    Yes.
    But you'd better play at 1440P and lower settings

    I was just curious. I don't have a 1440p monitor. That thought just crossed my mind.

    Any monitor can run at lower resoultions
