Vampires Fall - Play this game at your own risk!!!
- Jan 24, 2013 6:23 pm GMTI recently started playing this free app on my phone and found it to be enjoyable, but there was a situation in the chat room I found disturbing. It became clear that the chat room was run with an iron fist and anything that the moderators considered to be negative would result in a ban. Now we're talking about innocent types of discussion points, such as "true blood and vampire diary fans should leave now" types of things. When I mentioned that this was a bit extreme the Moderator "Daath" asked me to basically change the topic and move on. Anyway... I complained to the developers and got a lackluster response comprising of how it was a free game, etc. I then went to say bye to a few people on chat and we were clowning around and they were asking what happened etc... long story short, the Moderator jumped on and banned my primary character... then my secondary character. I finally got on with another screen name and tried to talk to him, but then he started deleting posts of mine that he didn't like. I then went to the online forums on their website and left this moderator negative feedback, which I felt he very much deserved. They proceeded to ban my account for "slander" and stated that it would never be active again. While the initial game is decent, the social aspect of any online game is key to its success. After you beat the single player mode (takes about 10 to 15 hours), the pvp and chat room portions of the game become key... and there's no point to playing this part of the game if the administrators are going to behave in such a manner. I would advise anyone to avoid this game at this point... of course, that is always your decision to make.

- Mar 23, 2013 4:46 am GMTThat is not true bout Daath having a iron fist. He's a great admin, helps everyone he can, he only bans ppl when, necessary. He is great at his job an keeps thing in check. He is the best admin that anyone could ask for. The developers are great at there job an help aswell. Daath doesn't go round banning ppl when its not necessary an yes he banned you but that was because you wasn't saying the full story and was accusing him of other things. To anyone who hasn't played the game I highly recommend it. Its fun, great and I love it. Its a pg13 game and the community r great. Please try it out and ignore the comments saying how bad they are because that's not true. I've had game since before Christmas an Daath is very fair an is awesome at everything

- Mar 23, 2013 5:50 am GMTHello. I am Daath, the Vampires Fall moderator referenced in our friend Brosck's review. While I respect his opinions and perspectives, there are also glarring omissions in his recounting of what transpired. There was in fact a mini conversation regarding True Blood and Vampires Diary that was taking place on chat. The problem was that the substance of the discussion was how the people engaged in the conversation liked to diparage people who watched the shows. To be exact, the quote was "the only reason I come on chat is to bust on people who watch True Blood and Vampire Diaries". The participants had no other topics of conversation, barely played the game, did not discuss game play, and had a history of being on chat just to make negative comments and then leave. Brosck, being new to the game and to chat, knew nothing of this nor did he care to find out. Instead, he boldly declared he had seen too many games with moderators who were dictators and proceeded to articulate a mini manifesto. He was allowed to express himself and then some. At some point a line had to be drawn and, as he noted, I asked him to move on to another topic. This became the little feul he needed to launch into another tirade about social injustice in chat at which point I gave him a five minute time out. He became outraged by this and made another character to continue on with. If anyone has had to deal with trolls on chat before, you can basically figure how this played out. The 'friend' he referrenced he wanted to say goodbye to was Laura who wrote the first response to his review so you have it there first hand from the people who were there. No wonder he has had a difficult history with moderators. To get a more comprehensive sampling of opinions, please browse the reviews that the game has received or better yet take a 'bite' out of the game for yourself. It's a lot of fun and the community is great! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.KrimeMedia.VampiresFall

- Mar 23, 2013 3:28 pm GMTGood afternoon fellow gamers, In response to Brosck's comments about the admin Daath, I have to say that it is not entirely correct. I have been playing Vampire Falls since November 2012, but truely only got involved in the chat room sometime in December. From my personal experience I have not seen any "ruling with an iron fist" situation, and trust me, I wear contact lens, I would know. Daath is patient and often tells players when they are out of line. I was present when admin Daath was debating with Brosck, and I have to admit, that the situation was handled well by the admin. Daath explained that disagreeing was totally acceptable, as long as it was in a respectful manner. To cut a long story short, well, I don't like to lie, so to cut a very long story extremely short; there was a debate, admin answered the questions, the answer wasn't what was wanted to be heard, debate continued........admin administered. Player came on under a different name to conitinue debating, debate went on, answers were given, debate went on, admin administered.......again. Vampirs Fall is an engaging game that will have players coming back for more. The single players story mode game, tagged along with the the multiplayer game(player Vs. player), and the never-ending, yet challenging "Path of Darkness" will have players enjoying this free entertaining game for hours. I recommend any who enjoys playing strategic RPGS, to try this game. Lastly, the forums and chat room will definitely provide much laughter and insightful game play strategies from the helpful and friendly community. So, download the game, and judge for yourself, but you will not be dissapointed..I don't like to lie. P.S. There is an expansion coming in a few weeks, so the fun will not stop with Part 1.

- Mar 23, 2013 3:58 pm GMTEllo. Been playing VF since early September '12, and personally i enjoyed every minute of it. Its a fun game that is truely different from any other I've played. Brosck was a problem in chat and had plenty of warnings before he got cut out. The devs work hard, are fast to reply and fix issues, and work with the community. They make admins to keep chat clean, and i haven't seen any power-trips. I'd recommend the game to anyone, its addicting and the community is unique in and of itself. As our beloved player Surely would surely say... "Diz iz so much fun an excitement"
