These two are often regarded by the community of FF fans as the best FF games ever made. So which one do you think is better in the following:

    Artstyle:

    Story:

    Characters:

    Music:

    Battle System:

    World:

    Customization:

    Sidequests:

Which do you think is better in those areas (Which would be the best overall?)

No, like I stated before, the memory limitations alone on consoles can't hold enough textures to be able to replicate Crysis 1.
thats why they dont need the memory PS3 has a little something something called Blu-Ray. and its 25 times the size of a petty 2gb SD RAM

Story: X (VII just doesn't make much sense to me, sorry.)
    Characters: X
    Music: X (it's close, though)
Battle System: X (I like how I can just sit there and think about my next move.)

    Obviously I like X more.

    Artstyle: FFX

Story: FFX( VII is confusing in terms of story and you have play it multiple times to completly understand it. I like X religious and cultural themes alot.)

    Characters: FFX

    Music: FFX

    Battle System: FFX

    World: FFX

    Customization: VII
I like the materia system in VII. I dont think you custimize much in X)

    Sidequests: VII
Even though i love 10, I didn't care so much about gettibg the celestrial weapons and playing blizball. In VII, fighting Ruby and Emerald weapon was more interesting to do.

Overall: FFX is my favorite so im going with this.

VII, bar none. X is awesome, don't get me wrong. But I found the overall package of VII better than X. Both are some of my highest rated games, though.

FFX in all categories except for customization and sidequests (there are some sidequests in FFX that I really don't care for, i.e. the lightning bolt dodging, having to play a crapton of Blitzball for Wakka's ultimate weapon, etc.). FFX especially slaughters FFVII in terms of music.

I think FFIX is the best FF game tho and I'd also put FFVI above FFVII.

Now Playing: Final Fantasy XII, Shadow Hearts, Secret of Mana

My 100 favorite songs of All Time. And because I ran out of blog post space, here's the second part of the list.

Recent Reviews: Mother 3, Final Fantasy VII, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.

FFVII on every aspect listed. FFX was the beginning of the end for the golden age of open-world rpgs. For that, I somewhat despise it.

They weren't really open world considering most of the important stuff took place outside of the world map, nor was it the end. Haven't you played Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Xenoblade? Hell, FFXII brought back the "open world" idea to Final Fantasy to some extent.

Yet, FFVII not very linear. FFX is a walking hallway similar to FFXIII.

Artstyle: Hard to say. I hate how FF7 looks but if I compare it to what else was out at the time. FFX still looks pretty good but it has terrible character and clothing designs. I guess I'll 7

    Story: 7

    Characters: 7 easily

    Music: 10

    Battle System: 10 easily

    World: 7

Customization: Don't know. Equipment? The sphere grid is linear so that wouldn't get X any points

Sidequests: 7, I don't remember any enjoyable side activities in X.

I'm a bit biased, as I didn't care for VII or VIII much. I loved X though, at the time.

I personally think 7 is a lot better than 10.

7 has a better story, better battle system, world map, a lot better main character, a lot better characters, a lot better bad guy (Sephiroth).

Not to mention FF 10-2 sucks.
