    People what would you like the plot to be in shenmue 3?

    for me it would tie ren back into the plot and some people from the first game. and the ending has to be a final battle with lan di

    "Gaming is my life" by these phrase i dont mean i game 24/7, even though i try to haha. i mean that Gaming is incorperated into my everyday life, from things i do to decisions i make. Some Video Games have been every emotional.

    People what would you like the plot to be in shenmue 3?

    Seeing how I am pretty much obsessed with the Shenmue series, I have thought about this a lot and pretty much this is what I got (in summary).

    -Ryo and Shenhua run into Lan Di and another member of the Shi You Men

    -Ryo tries to fight Lan Di, gets ass handed to him to the point of near death, and Shenhua along with the Pheonix Mirror get taken by Lan Di

    -Ryo awakes from his beating several days later inside Shenhua's father's house, learns more about the mirrors and Lan Di, and also gets trained more in martial arts.

    -Ryo finds out somehow that Lan Di has gone back to Hong Kong and finds a way back there

    -Ryo meets up with Ren, Xuiying and many other characters from Shenmue 2 who help him track down Lan Di.

    -Ryo find out that Lan Di is Xuiying's brother, and his motives were similar to Ryo's before he became evil and corrupt

    -Ryo find and rescues Shenhua, and fights Lan Di which ends in a draw. One of the main characters (other than Shenhua and Ryo gets killed by Lan Di)

    -Lan Di escapes and find out that he is headed back to Ryo's neck of the woods in Japan to get "the final piece"

    -Ryo and Shenhua return to Japan, romance ensues

    -Ryo finds Lan Di at the same dojo where Ryo's father was killed and the final battle takes place.

    -Game gives you the option to kill or spare Lan Di which result in alternate endings.

    So yeah, I've thought about this a lot lol.

    Mate actually not bad at all, but i think and this is only cos im sure, that lan di is not xuiyings brother, yuanda zhu is ??

I wont give away too much info as not to spoil any of Shenmue 2 for people on here that haven;t played it, but some of the flashback scenes in Shenmue 2 suggest that Lan Di might be Xuiying's brother, as well as things she says.

    I have completed shenmue 2 about 6 times and recompleted it recently and i was under the impression that yuanda zhu is xuyings brother?

    And i have been thinking, if they do bring out shenmue 3 they should have a collectors edition for it and in that you get: Ryo Statue, Ren statue just a load of statues, Lucky Hit Stand, The two mirrors Dragon and Phoenix, the chawan sign cups, the wulinshu, loads of stuff to be honest because im not sure that any shenmue game has done this?

    You continue your search for Lan Di.

    Lan Di kills Wong and Joy, and in the final reveal, Ren turns out to be working for Lan Di all along and he is the final boss.

    Lan Di watches you two fight, Star Trek style. 

    When you beat Ren, you turn to face Lan Di, who flies away in a helicopter.

    Ryo takes the Band Aid off his face, revealing an embedded jewel which begins glowing brightly. Sonic the Hedgehog runs up and snatches it believing it to be a Chaos Emerald. Ryo goes to the arcade and plays Super Hang On.

    Ryo decides Lan Di isn't worth and settles down and works full time at the Lucky Hit stand. Eventually creating his own Lucky Hit franchise.

    Hmmm,I don´t know,isn´t Xuiying aware of who Lan Di is though? Unless she was keeping that fact hidden from Ryo.

    The age difference does seem to fit though.

    And Zhu was indeed a friend of Iwao and Lan Di´s father Sunming Zhao,not Lan Di himself.

    Hmmm,I don´t know,isn´t Xuiying aware of who Lan Di is though? Unless she was keeping that fact hidden from Ryo.

    although not the plot. yu suzuki has already gave away quite a bit about shenmue 3. we will see the true leader of chiyoumen, which is a woman and not lan di(forgot her name, nihao?) and the game will be very much like disc 4 of shenmue 2, the game and storyline turns internally with many conversations between ryo and shenhua and answers and many things will affect outcome and other things, similar to how fangmei in shenmue 2 was basically a datingsim minigame, trying to get her to like you so much you would be able to get to her birthday

     

    also yu suzuki has hinted that ryo will not take revenge on lan di, but in fact they have to work together eventually to accomplish something they both need.

    Haven't touched part 2 in about 10 years, so I barely recall any plot. Hope part 3 comes with a similar DVD movie to part 2's Xbox edition lol.

    Shenmue 3 being announced would be the best year ever for me, knowing that a game i have been waiting for years is going to come out !!!!!

    I think originally that's what Yu and Sega had in mind, however given the monumental financial flop Shenmue ended up being, if Shenmue 3 did end up getting the green light, whoever was financing the project would want the rest of the saga compressed into one game. Asking for a 4th or 5th game would be asking too much at this point, and Yu has too much on the line to not give fans a complete story with the 3rd game if given the chance.
