I'm currently in Chapter 5 (normal difficulty). Until now it was really smooth, but now I'm stuck at the part where I face that invincible necromorph which regenerates its limbs. I stasis it and run to the part where I call the tram, but then I'm mobbed by tons of enemies, including that invincible necromorph. I have no health packs and ammo is also kinda low, but I do have 3 stasis packs. I'm just unable to go past this section. Is there any way out, or do I need to start the chapter from the beginning again? I'm playing solo, and no co-op.

P.S. I just have the regular version of the game. I did not bother purchasing any DLC or any weapons through microtransactions. So is it possible to beat this chapter without having purchased anything extra, apart from the game? Please help. Thank you.

My modest poor man's gaming rig:-

AMD FX4100 3.6 GHz quad core processor

    8 GB DDR3 RAM

    AMD Radeon HD6950 2GB

    21.5 inch monitor

    Creative 5.1 surround speakers

That bit is tough, died a few times myself. It is possible to beat it without purchasing anything. You basically just have to call the train and wait for it to arrive. It doesn't take a long time.

Limited ammo is going to make it tough. You can shoot off the regenerating necromorph limbs and they crawl slow. I think if you shoot a limb and arm they stop all together and wait till one regrows. Stasis is useful but it doesn't last very long so use it sparingly. You should get some ammo from the other necromorphs while you move around trying to avoid being killed by the regen necros. There also might be a locker to the left of the door with some goodies inside. I think the save for that is a few areas back, make sure you conserve ammo as much as you can. Pick up the explosive cannister to kill the first necro after the regen necro cut scene.

Just remember to keep mobile, try to run in circles because the regen necros are really not that fast. Oh and remember you can use your kinesis to pick up talons and such which helps converse ammo.

I was sitting on a huge pile of health packs by that point so I just ran in circles pressing Q every now and again until the tram arrived, blasting anything that got too close with my underbarrel shotgun.

Not sure when the checkpoint is, but maybe comb the area for health first. Remember stomping enemy corpses will often result in item drops.

From my experience of the previous games which i played on the harder settings and this worked for me in a desperate situation. Take a few well placed initial shots with what ammo u have then stasis the closest Necro and stamp and punch it to death! If u have the abillity to grab objects use the limbs and missiles on the other necros! Basically Use you Stasis packs spam them a little punch some dudes! create a lull in the combat shoot some more and save the last stasis just in case! Oh and fire the limbs back at them.
