Why was I suspended TWICE for the same thing?

On January 5th I posted a couple of things on a thread.
"Successfully took action (Delete Msg) on 2013-01-18 16:39:03(gmt)"
You waited an entire 2 weeks to suspend me for that but whatever...I'll take my punishment as I probably deserved it.
...Then all of a sudden on February 1st I get suspended AGAIN for something that I posted on January 5th! Does someone want to explain to me why I'm getting suspended every 2 weeks for something that I posted on January 5th? Also can you please remove one of those moderations from my moderation history so that I'm not getting impacted by it in the future as I was already punished for it previously? Thanks.

It was reported and was deemed offensive enough to warrent deletion despite its age. Usually we go easier on older items, but in cases where the post in question is highly offensive, we make exceptions. This was one of those cases.
Off-Topic After Hours may play it fast and loose, but we draw the line at offensive remarks such as those that were moderated.

But why didn't they both get moderated at the same time? This is a clear case of severe over-moderation.

Because they were reported at different times, each handled by a different moderator. We can't look thoroughly through every single thread. Often the post in the report is all we see. We miss things sometimes. It happens. It's not some case of over-moderation.
