Nintendo annouced that the Oracle games are coming out on the eShop in Japan. It seem that today Eiji Aonuma announced via the Miiverse that they will launch in "other territories" at a later date.

Anyone else a huge fan of those games? With this we should be able to have 8 Zelda games on a 3DS at any given time

Been waiting for these for forever. Oracle of Ages is my favorite Zelda game. Best puzzles, in my opinion, which are my favorite part.

Oracle of Ages is one of my favorite Zeldas, and I never got to play Seasons.  This is awesome news.

Can't wait, these were two of my most wanted VC games. Now if we can just get some classic Pokemon titles I'll be in Heaven.

    NOW PLAYING:

    PS3: BioShock Infinite
    Wii U: NSMBU, Nintendo Land
3DS: Paper Mario: SS, Fire Emblem: Awakening

"A later date" better be next week. These are my joint second favorite Zelda games after Wind Waker, and it's been far too long since I played them.

This is fantastic news for 3DS owners. Two of the rgeatest handheld games ever available for download. Fortunately for me, I still have my original GBC cartridges, and that isn't changing anytime soon.

Know what would be even cooler? A bundle released for 3DS with updated graphcis/ audio (and maybe some secret dungeons or two!) And, on top of that, they finish the third Oracle game with it. I'd buy it in a heart beat.

Upon hearing the news I dug out my copy of Seasons, then made myself put it back. I'll save the hype for the chance to play it on my 3DS

    ERMAHGERD!!!!!

Sad that they aren't planning to remaster them as they did Ocarina Of Time, but great to hear nonetheless! These are great Zelda titles and probably my favourite games from the GBC era.

Are these basically the same games or do they have different dungeons and stuff? I've never played them before.

I assume the same thing.  It is VC so just the game ported pretty much.

They are two completely different games, only sharing some music, and same graphics style (which it also shares with Link's Awakening). The two games have unique story-lines, however let's say you playthough and finish Ages, you'll get a password which you can type in at the start of Seasons which will give you some extra things and allow you to fight the true final boss of the Oracles series.

Oh he meant like that!  Yeah those two are very different and it does not matter much but Seasons is the first one and Ages is second.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (I havent played the games), but I think that both games are mostly the same in terms of the dungeons, setting and story, just that one is more focused on enemy fighting and the other in puzzle solving.
When you finish one, you get a password to start with all your items on the other, and get the real ending.
