Galaxy Runer
- Mar 8, 2013 9:28 am GMTAfter playing Temple Run II and Jetpack Joyride for seemingly hundreds of hours, I started searching the Google play market for something new. I found a game galled "Galaxy Runner" that looked pretty fun and downloaded it. I think the game icon is what drew me in at first, which is normally the case. I did notice that it had just been released and only had 10 to 50 downloads so I became a little skeptical. I installed the game and was impressed with the game layout and colors. You can tell it's an indie game because it needs a little polish but the mechanics were solid and I was quickly dodging asteroids and satellites and zooming through space. Whoa, Galaxy Runner is kind of difficult. It was certainly a challenge to keep my ship going once I reached 5000 miles and the coins turned to gems to collect. One of the things I really love about video games are the achievements and having a goal to shoot for. Galaxy Runner has a lot of achievements, it tracks some stats and allows the player to collect astronauts in order to continue if they've gotten pretty far and don't want to have to restart from the beginning. Overall I would have to give Galaxy Runner a 4 out of 5. It was fun to play, I have a lot more achievements to acquire, and I'm looking forward to the new updates.
