Dan Greenawalt swings by to reveal the new Halo Warthog Easter egg in Forza 4.
I know it whould be realy wack to drive the Worthog in Forza Motorsport 4 but OMG that whould be so damn cool! So sweet that thay used the Halo 4 version.
@VelvetKevorkian I agree. I just want to drive it!! and driving it from a first person perspective would be unique. I some times wonder what it would be like to drive vihicles in first person in halo in general, kinga how battlefield does it. and what i meant by a halo paint job, is not giving the warhog a halo paint job, but giving your car a halo paint job.
Ha Ha.... that's cute. I don't particularly want to drive it in the game, but I would LOVE to own the real Warthog that WETA built. Ohhhh that would be nice..... real nice.
Since when did "easter eggs" become something blatantly shown in the show room? Easter eggs are supposed to be little secrets that you'll discover that may or may not amuse you. Most of all, easter eggs aren't announced before a game is even released! This could have been one of the most memorable and best easter eggs of this year in a game. Just imagine if they didn't advertise this. Some Forza player would be doing his thing beating races and all, and then all of a sudden, this vehicle from Halo gets unlocked! The player tells his friends about his discovery and everybody laughs at him. He records a video of himself playing with the Halo vehicle and posts it on youtube, suddenly his friends aren't laughing anymore. Information about this easter egg then spreads on GameFaqs and various forums and builds excitement for the game that even Halo fans who aren't Forza fans get intrigued and actually buy the game because all of a sudden, their beloved Halo vehicle is in a racing game! Unfortunately, the surprise has been spoiled. At least the thing is not a DLC that you have to pay for, but the element of surprise, the excitement of discovery, the thrill and disbelief of internet rumors, these have been taken away from the gamers because they decided to show off their "easter egg". Now, their easter egg has been broken and we're left to scoop up the remains.
@xboxfanonly Your can give your car a Halo paint job in Forza, along with just about any other paint job you can imagine as well. I think this is kind of a silly addition. When I see a warthog I don't want to appreciate the details of it and marvel at how shiny and beautiful it is like Forza makes it look. I want to get in that thing and start mowing down hoards of enemies. :D A welcome addition, but they really should let you drive it, at least in a test drive mode.
i wonder what its like driving it in first person. (thats if your allowed to drive it.) but, something else that would be cool is if you can give your car a halo paint job. p.s...F***YOU EA we have a warhog!!!!!!! woot woot!!
@Supabul I'm sure they have more space than anticipated to work with, what with EA holding Porsche hostage and all.
Not a Halo fan... I don't see the purpose of all this, going to Skyrim, and STOR, then traveling to ME 3. See ya
@funkmugumbo, Yeah, it put me in a bad mood yesterday. Porsche is my favorite automaker. Now, I can't get any of their cars (aside from RUF models) in a racing sim that isn't Need for Speed: Shift. Porsche isn't in Gran Turismo 5, either. As much as it hurts my heart, I am considering skipping Battlefield 3. Between the Porsche thing and EA's refusal to sell BF3 on Steam, I simply do not feel like handing the publisher 60 bucks.
i dont get why they do this, if your gunna make a big spectactle about something it really loses its "easter egg"ness , i would have loved to find this on my own. but when they use it as a selling feature u might as well make it easier to get or like a pre-order bonus like they love to do.
@IceJester45 I was in a good mood until I googled that. I feel sick, just gave those guys 60 bucks for a BF3 pre-order.
I hope this Warthog isn't at the expensive of some other car not getting the autovista treatment, taken up valuable space for nothing, at least let us drive it
I don't play HALO, but I love Forza. I'm looking forward to seeing how we can unlock this Easter Egg.
