Resident Evil 0 Question

What the **** do I do now?-Resident Evil Zero

I have been running up and down floors trying to figure out what to do next i have unlocked the red doors, solved the clock puzzle, opened the all the doors with the suits of armer on them, also i have opened a door by lighting a candle. items i have gotten include both statues the book of good and evil. and i have no idea what to do next i need to reconnect the power so i can get into the steal gates outside and to open a new path using the balance of good and evil.
there is one room i have not opened yet and it says something about a flower or water or something like that. i do not know what to, I am tired of running to room to room searching for something i missed PLEASE HELP!

I haven't played in along time, but after checking a guide....Did you examine the good/evil books, and get the statue pieces inside?

For starters open up the books if you haven't already. You should get the statues, now your job is to get the wings. One wing is in one the room with the chess puzzle.

You can open up the books if you haven't already grab the peices and combine them to the statue...

First get all 4 pieces to the puzzle the white statue the black statue and the books of good and evil, the books are found in the library after you lite the lamp and push the bookcase out of the way, the book of evil is found in the chess puzzle room after you open all the doors guarded by swords the black statue is in the basement near the room where the boiler is go down the right hallway and into the door, and the statue of good is in the room whre you got the grenade launcher, combie those and put them on the scale and go into the basement, when you send rebeccca into the other room solve the puzzle which is up up down up up...

You have to go to the examine option on each book, and turn it to so that the side of the pages are facing you. After you can see the side, click examine again and it should open, revealing either one wing or two. Combine the wing/s with the appropriate statue, and place the statues on the balance thing in the main hall. This will open a passage where the painting originally was on the wall.
