Half-Life: Counter-Strike
Publisher: Sierra Studios
Developer: The Counter-Strike Team

"Counter-Strike is one of the finest Half-Life mods out there. Multiplayer competition does not compare to the excellent graphics, the superb sound, and the frighteningly addictive gameplay of Counter-Strike. Graphically, the game outdoes most other mods, mostly because the authors teamed up with Valve and used superior model technology. The audio of the game is amazing, and as far as gameplay goes, Counter-Strike is very addictive. Overall, the extreme action, the variety of gameplay style, and the addictiveness of the game make for one of the best games I have played all year."

No One Lives Forever
Publisher: Fox Interactive
Developer: Monolith Productions

"This is what a computer game is meant to be. It is lighthearted but tough. It has simpler graphics but incredible gameplay. No One Lives Forever is a bright spot on the first-person shooter landscape and is worthy of a place by Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Half-Life.
