Exodus
Platform: PlayStation

The Basics

Little is known of this game, aside from the fact that it was to be a 3D, first-person shooter that combined interactive 3D environments for one and two-player modes. The areas you would have played were asteroid canyons, mysterious underground bases through a course of search-and-rescue missions. The following shot comes from Sony Computer Entertainment's 1997 E3 catalog.

WHAT HAPPENED?
We heard little to nothing about the development and even less about the cancellation.

The Basics

It's another failed product with the term "Extreme" in the title. You would've played as Dim in this single-player action-racing game.

Dim was designed to be just as his name implied: a muscled-up guy on a rocket board with all of the advertising-worthy buzz-lingo attitude a polygonal character can pack. You would've cruised around on the board, avoiding obstacles and such. The game would've been filled with cartoon-like art and comedy-bound commentary. With all of the landscapes potentially rendered in real time, they would have been created to add to the depth of the game. Apparently, some of the backgrounds were going to morph into other graphic displays, as well.

The Basics

Firo And Klawd was planned as an action game dedicated to mystery solving in the heart of NYC. In single- and multiplayer, the game would have featured more than 15 levels and an active auto detect feature that automatically adjusted the game's difficulty according to your skill level and ability.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Firo and Klawd was released in Europe, but as the Sony approval standards seem to change from country to country, and the US version never came out... well, do the math.
