The original Gears of War was absolutely breath taking back in the day, everything felt fresh with a great dark tone to bring the entire experience together. It had the power to drag people into the battle and cope with the small squad of robust soldiers fighting an alien invasion. Gears of War 2 comes with no surprise and it's pretty much the same, visually and in gameplay, a true sequel to put more dept into the story.

This time there are a few new enemies and the ability to use a few new vehicles, per say. The thing for me was that I was just not really exited this time around, maybe was not the right game at the time I played so I probably didn't appreciate the title more than I could. It actually took me over a month to beat the game, since I played the game sporadically. Again this is just me, but it might say that it didn't capture me as the first game did.

Overall it's a top notch title, and hands down a series that XBOX owners should try at least once. It's good to see that there are always new ways to replay the game trying different paths etc. No really a true different game, but a great way to make people play the game more than once. I only played a little bit of multiplayer and it was pretty good. It's a gem, time for the third and last installment.
