Gears of War is an instant classic 3rd person shooter.

Graphics...
To me they are about as good as you can get for 2006 and I don't say that lightly. The bloody splats all over your screen as you chainsaw your way through an enemy is just awesome.

Story...
It isn't all that great in my opinion. Not trying to throw out a spoiler but honestly the story doesn't pick up with interest until the 3rd gears. That doesn't mean you need to pass on this title. Its got a good 6 to 8 hours of almost non stop action. Loads and loads of fun with serious replay value. The voice acting is excellent. Although the script isn't very intelligent its still enjoyable.

Overall...
Gears of War is a must have. You can purchase this game dirt cheap now off eBay as I do with almost every game. So although its a little short some would argue its still a great buy. You looking for a third person shooter with major attitude? Don't pass this one up!
