Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved User Review

Quantum0700

Probably the BEST 360 arcade game ever. Simple, addictive, pretty much perfect!

The Bottom Line:
"Highly addictive"
When I first got the free trial of this game I immediately bought it for the bargain 400 MS Points it's worth. The game is probably able to get around the level of fun in the actual XBox360 disc-run games like G.R.A.W. and PGR3, but in a simpler way.

Gameplay-8
The games addictive gameplay and never ending entertainment WOULD give it a solid 10, but lack of features like co-op and Live take it down to an 8.

Graphics-10
Take a bunch of basic shapes, add color, neon, specular effects, a space background, and a ship to blow the CR@P out of them to the equation, and you have a 10 in arcade graphics!

Sound-8
The game lacks TRUE sound quality, but the sound of a black hole sucking in whatever it can, then a ship swooping down to blow it up is so rocking, sound receives an 8.

Value and Reviewers Tilt-9

It's easy to play, super-addictive, and challenging later on.....

IT'S GEOMETRY WARS!!!!!
