What I can say for sure is
* The single player for this will be awesome
* DMC had some very douchey people involved in making it. I doubt all of them were like that but at least any of the ones that made public announcements pre release were. You don't remake a beloved series and then essentially go and tell the fans you are supposed to be remaking it for to go and f*** themselves. I'm not saying I think developers should listen to gamers every whim and fancy but they could have handled it a lot better.

Once again, why would this be necessary when SK was doing this just fine with his normal account? It’s not like SK cares about his reputation or anything...he has nothing to hide. As I already said, I still have yet to hear a good reason for this.
What I can say for sure is

Actually, I don’t mind this at all. The “old” fans of a series can get awfully whiny…like it’s somehow a personal attack on them that the game changed. They somehow have this sense of entitlement that they deserve something for “supporting the series” when they actually deserve nothing…there’s no debt owed. If they have an issue with the direction of the game, then fine but trolling the twitter and stuff of developers? Please.
I'm not saying I think developers should listen to gamers every whim and fancy but they could have handled it a lot better.
Perhaps, but so could have the gamers.

once this game comes out, they will both be great games, dont worry about which one is better. DmC is really good, although people complain about dante's hair and a couple of other glitches, but no game out there is "perfect", the design and combat DmC brings in its totally enjoyable for a real gamer, and when ascension comes out, no doubt in my head, it will be among the top 3 greatest game of 2013.

It’s a valid complaint. A mushroom cut in 2013? Really? The Japs are behind the times but whole crap…that stuff was the look when I was in junior high…and it looked awful then too

Ah yes, the prostituting witch who shoots guns with her feet. But then, I guess vets would play as a piece of snot fighting cupcakes if the gameplay was solid.
To be on topic; DmC < DMC, but I'd be surprised if Ascension even comes close, considering the single player is an afterthought this time. Especially since GoW < DMC in general.
