God of War is a great and bloody, action-adventure games out there and shouldnt be missed by anyone. Story: I think the story was pretty interesting and kept me playing until he end. The game is based on Greek Mythology aswell and you play as the character Kratos, a Spartan warrior. Kratos goes on a quest to stop the nightmares of his past, and pleads to Athena to rid him of the nightmares. She then sends him on a quest which involves battling through Greek Mythological history. Gameplay: In God of War the gameplay is amazing and immersive. Firstly, as you play with Kratos you start off with the Blades of Chaos, but as you go along, building up orbs by killing enemies, or smashing surrounding objects, you are able to upgrade your wepons. But your weapons aren't the only thing you can upgrade, because as you meet the Gods such as Poseidon, they give the power of the gods which give ou new moves and powers. The enemies you face in God of War build up as you go through out the game as they build up armour, their weapons and also their abilities, but also more and more new and exciting enemies appear. Apart from the normal enemies there are also mini bosses such as the hydras, and also involve mini games which let you defeat them quicker, that is if you can time and perfect them. The gameplay is very good with a number of things to achieve and keep you playing.

Graphics: The in-game graphics are awesome, especially the character and environment detail. However the cut scene graphics are even more spectacular, and i dont think anyonecan complain about the graphics in this game. Sound: The sound is great during big battles with the sound of the Blades of Chaos slicing up your enemies as they scream and hitting the ground and clattering. The music keeps suspense and excitement in the air and provides a great atmosphere. All in all this is a must have for anyone who owns a PS2 and is great value for money as it is now Platinum (or Greatest Hits). I have to say though its only drawback is its length, as it isnt very long but i think it was the right length for the immersive story. Great game, instant classic, brig on God of War 2!!!!
