Golden Axe was a classic 1988 arcade game that was ported to the Sega Genesis in 1989. 20 years later, I'm playing it on the playstation 2 as part of the Sega Genesis Collection. 20 years old, it's still fun to play, and it's better than the arcade version.

Basically, you must save a village from evils with a half naked muscular guy, a half naked muscular but hot woman, and a gnome with a powerful axe. You also collect these blue and green pots. Green pots restore health, while blue pots give you powerups.

Golden Axe is a very fun hack n'slash. It's very challenging, and a good looking game at small notice. The music is very catchy, while the death screams from various movies are awesome. Overall, it's hard, it's fun, it's golden axe, and it's a classic.

First few levels of Golden Axe: The Revenge of the Death Adder. My sound card does not support direct audio recording so that is why there are no sound effects. I also had to put in my own music.
