- The Bottom Line:
- "Mixed reactions"
As a fan of GT series I was waiting for this game for so long. And when it finally came out i have mixed feelings after a dozen of hours of non-stop play...
+ Graphics are perfect. Best looking race game on PSP. In my opinion only Ridge Racer 2 and Motor Storm Arctic Edge can compete with GT in racers category.
+ Superb driving experience. GT is not an arcade racer. It lets you play in a realistic way if you only want it. The feeling and the response of the car is very pleasant.
+ Hundreds of beautiful cars! Amazing collection of high detailed vehicles. You can just watch them for hours and never get enough.
but...
- - No Career Mode? Where is the reason to earn money and buy all these cars when there is no need to use them at all?? Where are 4WD, FF, FR, MR events? Where are American Cup, European Cup, Japanese Cup? Where are manufacturers cups? Where are specific Horse Power limited Championships?
There is no career mode and I cannot believe it... please tell me it is not true...
- Licences where replaced by Challenge Mode - and now we have a GT where the Licence is no longer an addition, an introduction, we have a GT where Licence is a main part of a game... i don't buy it.
- Poor tuning options. Only few changes can be made. No new parts... not even rims?
- No Special Stage R5, R11 - no night time race. This event was one of my favourites...
- No on-line play. I know PSP has its limits... but still.
Okay... enough. Too many defects for The First Gran Turismo on PSP. Many good things disappeared from GT and it is no good.
Everybody will buy this game anyway... just because it is GT on PSP.
For me even GT2 on PSOne is way more fun... not to mention the series installments on PS2...

The best car game available on the PSP. Eats its competitors for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Doing a flamboyant and stylish lap around the Toscana circuit, using a Peugeot 206 Rally Car. As always all driving aids are turned off except for ABS which is set to 1. Using a Logitech Force GT steering wheel which is on simulation settings.Posted May 1, 2011

This is MY opinion of which games are great this is not a fact-sheet :-) Im also well aware that some of the games on my list have seen sequels released but remember sometimes the first game was the most unique.Posted Oct 10, 2010
