Gran Turismo on the PSP is the long overdue racing game that i have been hyped up for some time now ever since it's announcement in 2004 when the PSP debuted.
Orignally dubed Gran Turismo 4 Mobile, the game was to be released in 2005 but was delayed on a number of times until it was showed at E3 2009 and was released when the new PSP Go was to be out October 1st 2009. I got it for full retail price and day or so after it's release and it was worth it.
You start out with $10,000 and a random selected car,but unlike the career mode in the past games were you rent a car, race, save money, and buy that car you really want, there is no career mode,so you will have to just race with 3 other ai cars, which is a little disappointing, but not a big deal.
There are over 800 cars from Audi, Chevy, Bugatti, F1 cars, and more, but you can't buy them right away, the dealership only has 4 manufacturers and after 2 days other 4 come in. What is disappointing is that they only offer a handful of cars so like 10 cars per manufacturer, which is a little problem for car collectors like myself. But you can download a free car pack from PSN Store which includes 4 cars, all super cars.
There are over 35 race tracks with most of them add due to tracks that can go in reverse from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Deep Forest, to High Speed Ring and Tokyo R246 and the infamous Nurburgring raceway Now let's get into the game itself.
The graphics are not the best but still looks pretty good (even with the white pixel problem), the cars are detailed well and the backgrounds are pretty good even though some background objects look flat.
The sound is pretty damn good, with nice engine sounds. The music is also very good, but the game only plays one song per race, but you can add your music with the mp3 feature.
The gameplay is at GT's best with tight controls and very exciting racing (for only 4 cars on screen). I don't like using the analog stick for steering so i use the d pad which is what i recommend.
Overall, I recommend this game to any Gran Turismo fan because if you play this game and collection a mountain full of cars, They can be transferred to Gran Turismo 5 which is F'in awesome. This game, though little flawed, is a great racing game on the go. Happy Racing!!!

Doing a flamboyant and stylish lap around the Toscana circuit, using a Peugeot 206 Rally Car. As always all driving aids are turned off except for ABS which is set to 1. Using a Logitech Force GT steering wheel which is on simulation settings.Posted May 1, 2011

This is MY opinion of which games are great this is not a fact-sheet :-) Im also well aware that some of the games on my list have seen sequels released but remember sometimes the first game was the most unique.Posted Oct 10, 2010
