Gran Turismo User Review
Despite the fact that I'm not a fan of racing games, I did find this game to be an impressive addition to my collection

I definately believe that Gran Turismo set the standard for 3D racing games. There were over 180 cars and 11 tracks to choose from...which makes for an excellent multiplayer experience. Personally, I had a bit of trouble controling the cars (especially on curves) but this is probably due to my inexperience in playing racing games on any Playstation console.
My Breakdown:
What's Good:
- Graphics (excellent for its day)
- A wide range of cars to race and challenge opponents with
- Challenging Tracks
What's Not-So-Good:
- The learning curve for noobies
What's Bad:
- Nothing as far as I can see but I wouldn't really know since I don't play a lot of Racing Simulators
In all, its a classic in its own right and I'm sure many fans of the genre would agree.

Writing this review ten years later, racing games haven't brought a lot more to the genre than what GT did back in 1997.

Doing a flamboyant and stylish lap around the Toscana circuit, using a Peugeot 206 Rally Car. As always all driving aids are turned off except for ABS which is set to 1. Using a Logitech Force GT steering wheel which is on simulation settings.Posted May 1, 2011
