Baigy

The best car game available on the PSP. Eats its competitors for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Bottom Line:
"Just plain fun"
From the highest selling franchise for the PS consoles comes (finally) a portable version. Gran Turismo (GT) for the PSP takes the best cars and the best tracks from GT5 Prologue and utilises the best points of the PSP system.

As with all GT games prior and since, you start with a small pittance, with which you buy a car and begin your journey to racing glory. The goal is to come first in all races on all difficulty levels and purchase all of the cars of your dreams.

The graphics are great due to a brave decision made my polyphony, one that would increase loading times greatly, yet result in beautifully smooth picture. The music is cool, the driving is incredibly realistic, it is very challenging and the game is a heck of a lot of fun. The game is, in fact, almost flawless; but it is not quite perfect.

Unlike all of the other GT games, there are no upgrade options in this game, that is, when you buy your car, that's it; you cannot improve it. Polyphony Digital has, however, partly made up for this. The new drift mode will entertain for hours and is a welcome additional to a game that was beginning to show signs of age.
In addition, instead of having licences to earn, there are driving challenges to complete, which set a myriad of different challenges (very similar to what licence challenges in the previous games were), some of which are some of the hardest challenges to perfect out of any of the previous games (putting these challenges among some of the most difficult in gaming history).

Even though the loading times are massive and there is no upgrading allowed, the game is still a must play for car game enthusiasts, monstering the competition.

Doing a flamboyant and stylish lap around the Toscana circuit, using a Peugeot 206 Rally Car. As always all driving aids are turned off except for ABS which is set to 1. Using a Logitech Force GT steering wheel which is on simulation settings.

This is MY opinion of which games are great this is not a fact-sheet :-) Im also well aware that some of the games on my list have seen sequels released but remember sometimes the first game was the most unique.
