grand theft auto 2 is an instant classic pc game.it's full of fun & flaws that will make you 2x lol!
this game has one great feature that the new gta's don't have:the respect bar!i mean,meter,you know what i mean.there are 3 gangs to serve in each of the 3 towns.you start the town with neautral respect for all the gangs.when you complete a job for a gang,the gangs respect for you will increase & the at the same time,the respect of the rival gang will decrease.the third one wil be neutral in this case.a gang has a rival only 1 other gang,not both of them.for example,if you kill loonies or do jobs for the loonies,their respect for you will increase while the respect of the zaibatsu will decrease & the respect of the yazuka will remain the same,unchanged.this respect thing is vital,because when you have "-" for a gang,they will shoot you,you must keep the balance all the time.
there are public telephones near the gang's headquarters where you get all the jobs from.there is no other place or method!
most of the jobs will bring a lot of fun while the rest,will make you insane,mad!
the graphics are like at the vertical scrollers & have a medium detail...the music at the radio is funny & makes the lol 3x!so 1 for the jobs,2 for the radio music & 3 for the flaws & graphics!
the best part of the game is when you pick up the tank!if you do that,you will have unlimited fun fro quite a long time!you will go over,swat vans,people,almost nothing will stand in your way.
a very frustrating moment is when you drown,when you go in the water.avoid it,or you'll be very angry especially when you're on a mission!
you can save the game only if you have 50.000 $!you must donate them at jesus saves,lol,& the game is saved.if you go there without having that ammount of cash,a guy will say to you:"-no donation,no salvation!"one of the most memorable phrases,lines in the history of gaming!
overall,the game is just plain fun,don't bother too much with the missions because they are though & the game has a lot of flaws,you can just go around & do rampage!the multiplayer is exactly this thing-rampage,no,better said total rampage!
enjoyable in it's time, not it's just a very ugly duckling:)
