Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony User Review
- Difficulty:
- Very Easy
- Time Spent:
- 100 or More Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Amazing"
The mission are crazy! Luis meets up with the eccentric Yusuf Amir, Ray Bulgarin, goons from the Ancelotti family, even Brucie's big brother Mori, and has to do jobs for them to clear Tony's debt. They range from stealing cars and military equipment, fighting police and NOOSE officials, club shoot-outs, and more then you'd expect. There is definitely a lot of adrenaline, and a lot more variety. Once a mission is completed, the game gives you a score, depending on how well you completed the mission. There is a time goal, and objectives you have to complete for 100%. After the main story has been completed, replaying missions becomes available through the cell phone.
Graphically and also concerning gameplay, nothing has changed, it's the same GTA we know. The new content is what it's all about. There is a new base jumping mechanic, new activities and some vehicles have been adjusted.
Luis has only two friends to hang out with - Armando and Henrique, who work as small-time dealers and they are happy even if you don't take your time to hang out with them. Armando brings you a van full of weapons, and Henrique will deliver sports cars to your location. When you do call them up, you can go to any eating or drinking place, and play games that require a buddy to play. The new activities are Golf - which is moving a target reticle on the course and then a using a golf swing meter to take the shot. Also, there is a dancing and drinking game at the clubs, a cage-fighting championship, multiple vehicle races, base jumping all around the city and the Club Management, which is basically Luis's part-time job.
Drug Wars are a series of fights Luis and his two drug dealing friends get into to steal product to sell.
Base Jumping utilizes a parachute, which the player can deploy at any time, and the steer into the air. To complete a base jump, there are either checkpoints the player has to glide through, or land on a moving vehicle.
