What are some of the small things you enjoy about GTA IV?
I never finished the story, which I'm doing now. Some of the little things I like are:
-Pressing down on the D-pad to see your vehicle make and current location.
-Asking permission to change the radio station while riding in a taxi.
-The camera when you look up, and how the perspective warps.

I enjoy the atmosphere of the game, which has improved dramatically compared to past games. You can hear radio outside people's cars, pedestrians have much more actions (smoking, construction work, phone calling, and unique ones when it's raining), brakes squeaking as cars stop, the sun reflecting off buildings downtown. Liberty City was closest to feeling like a real city than any other games at the time.

I loved the smoke pouring out a the car everytime you ride anywhere with Jacob... easily one of my favorite aspects of the game.

Review sites say stupid things like "graphics have aged" but nobody's topped the environment in all these years. Next to Bethesda games, nobody comes close to "open world," which makes GTA 5 being HUUUGE extra cool.

This. It's truly the little details that make this a great game.
