i imagine we will get a pretty big variety of weapons. i personally hope for more melee weapons such as a hammer,katana and return of bass knuckles.

I hope there is a much larger variety of pistols, in GTA IV most gunfights consisted of the never ending "cack cack cack cack cack" of the glock.

Not sure but I believe this may be a FN F2000. Can anyone confirm? Seem's to be some new assault rifles instead of the old tried and true AK and M4

I may be wrong, but didn't they say in the GI article that this would have the largest amount of weapons of any GTA game?

IMO it wouldn't feel right without an AK and M4 type gun, and we know there is an AK.

This....The only thing Saints row had better was it had the Glock and the Beretta. I said the ONLY thing btw. I liked the variety of small caliber pistols because It had the .40 Glock, the 9MM Beretta and the .50 Deagle. Pistols by far are my weapon of choice in any game. Used to run around with the WWII colt .45 in Battlefield BC2 all the time. I'd like to see that gun in GTA V

Sick. I thought the amount of weapons in SA was perfect, and I thought there were way too few in IV. This is the first game I've been really HYPED for in years.

It's an IMI Tavor TAR-21 that lacks any form of sight, so it'd be pretty hard to hit the helicopter accurately at that distance
And among that, the confirmed weapons so far are
Desert Eagle
Beretta 92FS
Colt 1911
Mossberg 500
TAR-21
AR-15
Type 56-2(Chinese variant of the AK-47)
A sniper rifle that I believe is an L96 AWP

The way you said that......I laughed really hard. Still chuckling. Its hilarious because seeing that description then thinking of all the free-roam sessions I've been in and that's all you hear when you get near other players.

I'd like to see that 1911 too. Only pistols I've seen so far in screens are the Beretta 92FS and a HK MK23. 1911 would be awesome, though!
Hope there's plenty of pistols since I always use them in games.
A Glock would be a nice addition, but I really hope to see some kind of revolver as well. The only revolver I remember from a GTA game was the Python in Vice City.

Yeah I'd like to see some more revolvers too. But only if they do them right. The Colt SAA from Red Dead Redemption was pathetic. Weakest in the game. And 2nd strongest on the list IRL. I thought that kinda funny. I'm not advocating total realism or anything, but I thought that to be kind of outrageous.

I know this is a typo, but it made me chuckle. "You going to fight? You better glue this fish to your hand. It really adds to your overall punching ability. Hey, If that doesn't work, you could always use the squid gun!"
