What do you guys think about RVs being included as a portable safehouse?

I mean obviously you wouldn't be able to park on streets, or use it to escape wanted star levels. I believe if implemented correctly, they could be a great way to save progress without leaving an area of interest. Upon entering the RV, of course the option to drive it would be there, but also an alternate screen would appear. One to sleep/save progress, and the other to change clothing.
Yay, nay?

A fan-made suggestion that actually improves the game but also wouldn't be too difficult to implement? I like it.

Well autosave already makes it easy to save progress. An RV I think would take a lot of data for the game to keep track of since you aren't only driving a car its a piece of a map. And what happens if you smash the outside so bad that its unusable?
It just seems like a lot to implement for not a lot of progress through the game.

Autosave does not let you leave off on a specific area of the map, and if you smash the vehicle up so badly that it isn't unusable, then you just acquire another one.

To make it easier for them to program it in, have the ability to move it still occur, but only save if you park it in predetermined areas.
Have one area for each neighborhood or major location where you can park it, if it's parked there then the ability to save is activated.

I've wanted this since the first time i saw a RV in a open world game

I suppose it would make sense in the context of the GTA world, but I don't think I'd use it, what with auto-save now all the rage. I remember refusing to use auto-save the first time I played GTA IV. But when I was replaying the game to get trophies? I loved that feature. I won't look down upon auto-save again. ;-)

Saving almost anywhere with something like an RV wouldn't be hard to implement, games have been doing stuff like that for a very long time...

Search engines are awesome, you can find the answer to the question that's been asked a hundred times before in a manner of seconds, more people should try it.

Breaking Bad, great show or greatest show?
Anybody who says Dark Souls gameplay sucks is factually incorrect.
