Be kind, but not overprotective. Encourage her to explore. Share your stuff with her, and likewise. Dont argue about gold. Always repair things after a fight. Be each other's beacon in dungeons. If you happen to be in a party, don't neglect her in favor of other players, she still comes first. I wish you many good loot and happy questing!

I play with my husband. Fastest leveling and $$ earners is to go to an area at your level and get 100% complete. We can usually do a level appropriate area in 3.. maybe 4 hours. We tend to do every event we stumble across because 9 times out of 10 it will fill a heart. Group events are not for a duo. Do not attempt without a PUG.
We tend to alternate between playing together for 100% area complete and catching up our personal story to our level. We do PQs solo because they tend to be very similar.
Apparently you can have a successful duo with whatever classes you choose, but we went with a traditional tank/dps mix.
Is your wife into gaming? Maybe that should have been my first question.
