What constitutes as a stun?

I've noticed some skills allow you to break stuns so I'm curious which crowd-control effects would be considered stuns.

I've noticed sometimes when I'm knocked down, I get right back up using a stun breaker while other times, I don't.

Why is that?

it said stun, but basically, you recover from any disable, such as knock down and daze. when you are knockback and flying in the air, you have to wait until you are actually on the ground before you can break stun. otherwise, you wasted it.

Going by memory, only the last 2, Ice block and Petrification, aren't countered by stun-breakers or prevented by Stability. They are very uncommon though.
