- "Almost, but not quite"
I believe guild wars 2 can end up being the top mmo in the US. This is the first MMO i've played at launch where everything was just perfect and very well thought out. The five years of hard work really shows. Excellent combat, good crafting system, beautiful world, world pvp and structured pvp are really fun.Tons of content and it's hard to believe there's no monthly fee. Now the game was just awesome up until about level 35 (out of 80 levels). I had unlocked all my skills and as I continued to level I became really bored. My character was leveling up but I was stuck with the same abilities. I thought what is the point in leveling all the way up to 80 if I'm still gonna have the same exact abilities? I've played lots of mmos and the thing that always kept me leveling was looking forward to those higher level abilities. Bottom line anet just made the level cap way to high for the amount of character skills. Some people will argue that your character traits are your progression from 35 to 80 which is somewhat true but the traits are just stat boosts and passive abilities. Nothing that changes gameplay in any way. Not enough carrot on a stick for me to keep playing pve so I strictly play casual pvp now. Still a great game and I don't regret buying. I just hope anet can add more character progression at some point.

A great game that adds much needed improvements to the MMO experience, but still suffers from it's own issues.
