if it wasn’t for half-life then we would not have scripted sequences. That means instead of cuts it is actually using the game and making characters do set things and you can move around and play at the same time and that makes the game so immersive because you never leave freeman’s eyes. Unlike a lot of fps’s for its time half-life has 2 types of enemies aliens and humans sometimes when you enter an area you are in the middle of a battle that started before you got there. the graphics were amazing for its time but now they look old and a bit blocky. I like the first section of the game before the resonance cascade because of the gags like the microwave and the button at the desk. sound is ok but at the end of the game when the G-man is talking it sounds very stuttery and it. The sound track is ok too (put the half-life cd in a audio cd player) the story is simple but well done. I also like the design of the levels in some areas but not others (mainly in weave got hostiles and blast pit)the game has some replay value in terms of mods and playing what you’ve all ready done but that gets boring after the 3rd or 4th time you completed it overall this is one of the best games ever made and if you don’t own it I suggest you get a copy of it now!!!
