- Oct 3, 2012 1:38 pm GMTThat's it, I've had it.
If I see one more post about how 'competitive' Halo 2/3 was, or how 'casual' Reach was, and how Halo 4 will or won't be either, I'm going to lose my g** d*** f****** mind!
What the heck is wrong with a game that has new elements? Last I checked, actual MLG matches weren't played online in a standard playlist. They happen in carefully calculated custom games.
If it's practice for those matches you're so worked up about, then friend other MLG players and invite them to similarly set up custom games! There is no reason to contaminate the game with your 'competitive' rules. Your rules are wanted by approximately 1-5% of all Halo players. And that's by your definition. Casual has the underlying meaning of being representative of the majority. So the basic rules should be set up for the people that comprise the remaining 95% of Halo players.
Seriously, it's the squeaky wheel getting all the grease, except you guys aren't getting the grease yet. Just STFU and play the game. Or don't, but still STFU. Either way, it's a drastic improvement over the current situation.
BTW, the answer is no. No, I'm not a 'noob' at Halo, and no I don't suck at it. I have been playing since I was 14 years old (currently 24). I have significant skill, even if it's not 'MLG' talent.

I don't have the energy for that anymore.

Well, considering your lack of ability or desire to explain, I'm going to consider it as you surrendering.
Please prove me wrong.

Consider this then:
You come to an internet chat board, where people talk about games. They literally do nothing else.
If you don't care about what other people have to say on that board, what does that make you?

If you only care what a select few say, why not PM back and forth with them? Or are you narcississtic, and need to broadcast your opinions and theirs over the internet to people you don't care about?

Define clearly. I see no proof whatsoever, although to be fair I haven't exactly proved myself as a good gamer either.

1. It's not just MLG gamers. Some people just like classic Halo.
2. Not all changes are good. (For example, some Halo fans don't like how a lot of the changes are features that are in CoD.)
3. Using your same logic, the 'casuals' shouldn't have infection, Swat, Grifball, or other 'casual' playlists because people can play those gametypes in customs.
4. MLG players don't hate all the changes. (For example, where are all the complaints about the new weapons?)
5. Even though 'casuals' may make up a majority, chances are that most of them will move on to other games.
6. Most Halo players are at least slightly competitive. (Most gametypes focus on players competing to win.)
Just my thoughts on the matter. - Oct 3, 2012 3:25 pm GMTKillean_Nuggets posted...
