Consider it what you want, I honestly don't care what you think or else I would've already explained it
Consider this then:
You come to an internet chat board, where people talk about games. They literally do nothing else.
If you don't care about what other people have to say on that board, what does that make you?
I care about what a select few here say. You are not one of them.
If anybody was curious, I am one of those people.
Me, Apple, and Pelican. We're so close that we make the 3 Stooges look like strangers.
It's like we're the same person. But we're not. Or are we?

you've added several people to your ignore list after me, and you've only added me as of a few days ago? and you added me because I don't like Armor Abilities? lmao, why are people who frequent Game Boards such children?
While I think it's a bit much to ignore you just because you don't like armor abilities, most of the people on that list act much more childish than that. So maybe it wasn't your opinion but how it was expressed?

Derive's posts... actually revolve around logic and reasoning. I enjoy reading them. - MIxeD - Oct 3, 2012 10:49 pm GMTThis board scares the living s*** out of me. So much goddamn hostility. If everyone could state their opinions in a non-aggressive way with positive or no response, things could be so much better! As of now, people either want to force others to love everything about Halo 4 or others attack people who don't like what they do. I'm looking forward to Halo 4. I haven't played Halo in a long time, but I did enjoy myself with every iteration.
I hope 343i in the end does make a game that can ultimately cater to everyone's needs, but we really can't know until the game's out. I'm open minded even to additions however.

They changed CTF so that you can't drop the flag, yet they made throwing the oddball/grifball/bomb possible.
But that's not the problem. The problem is that there is no option to make the flag droppable in custom games. (They also could have made both sides happy by just having an old CTF gametype as well as the new CTF gametype in matchmaking.)
That alone makes me worry about Halo 4. (I'm also not pleased with some of the other changes. For example, I do not like that perks are in Halo 4, especially when they are unbalanced. Or when you need a perk just to pick up grenades from dead bodies.) - Oct 3, 2012 11:39 pm GMTI kind of enjoy the way they are handling the game. If it is causing this much anger, they must be doing something right. A boring game with no change wouldn't get this much attention.

I find it amusing how smug people are using "we're the majority, so what we say goes" type arguments when they're in the majority, but resent that kind of argument when they're not.
Part of the problem is that Halo is advancing while the competitive side isn't. The game doesn't need to be balanced for competition. The game needs to have solid foundations for competition, so that good competitive playlists and gametypes can be built off of it and other, less competitive playlists, can be built as well. Then everyone is happy.
I am fine with majority opinions taking precedence when I'm in the minority. Majority should be the one that matters to developers, they pay the bills.
I understand your position. There should be advancements made in competitive gaming, and they should be implemented. These changes, however, are like changes to a professional sport. They don't happen often, and when they do it's fairly minor most times. This is because they don't want to radically alter the competitive formula, in case they break it altogether.Competitive players tend to have a dislike for casual players because casual players are in part the reason the game they love is not advancing and is continually pushing them to the side. Further, some casual players tend to think that they are entitled to the game THEY want because they're in the majority and that the competitive players should just suck it up because they are a comparably small group. Oddly enough, most people are only ok with that kind of reasoning while they're in the majority. Also, some casual players like to comment on what takes "skill" or how competition "ought" to work, when they are clearly lacking in skill.
Do you know where else this phenomenon happens? Professional sports. Most fans think they should have a say in what the rules are in professional sports. They won't say so directly, but they will tell you "how it should be." As far as disliking casuals, that's a bigoted approach, and it is shameful. Not all casuals are the same, and not all casuals should be disliked simply for being casual.Oddly enough, you won't find competitive players telling casual players that MLG or competition is the way they ought to be playing.
Bull. I've been told countless times on here that I should "get some skillz" or "lrn2halonoob." If that's not a directive indicating that I should learn to play competitively, I don't know what is.Often times, people resort to calling casual players who think their opinion on competitive play matters bad because it's much faster than typing up 3.8k characters explaining it, only to have them not understand and continue to tell good players what "skill" is, and it gets the same point across: your opinion on this subject does not matter.
That's where you're wrong. You don't need to type up a referendum on gaming competitively, simply link to someone else's description (if you're feeling lazy), or type up a response informing the casual gamer why you are hesitant to respond. Your assumptions are making you look like an a**.If you can demonstrate otherwise, then sure. But I haven't seen it. Being bad and asserting "this is what skill is and you're wrong" means nothing because you have nothing to back up your assertion. Good players generally agree on what takes skill. A bad player asserting otherwise means nothing because they are not good and simply assert what they claim to be true with little support.
Define "skilled." I know people all the way through the spectrum of k/d spreads, from 0.65 to 2.32. Mine is usually around 1.5.

lol, excellent point, although I'd prefer to poke the bear, at least for now. More fun to be had that way. lol
Somebody might have mentioned this, but isn't it really hypocritical to agree with and applaud somebody who blocked half the forum, but then get on Apple's case for not caring what some people think?
I already mentioned this, if you had bothered to read. I even apologized for deceiving the board. I just wanted a real response from Apple. And it worked.

You're right about that. I think the changes to CTF and oddball/grifball/bomb will be fun, but they might ruin the competitive nature of it. They SHOULD have included the ability to drop the flag in custom games at the very least.
I'm not unreasonable. I want all gamers to be happy with the game, if possible. But if I have to prioritize, casuals should come first. That's all I'm saying.

Apologizing for being hypocritical doesn't make you any less hypocritical.

"Somebody might have mentioned this..."
Are you not somebody? Do you not fall under that category? Unless you are nobody (which is possible) then I already acknowledged your previous post indirectly and thus your smartass attitude is misplaced.

Apologizing for it means that your continued browbeating of the issue is unwarranted.
Also, I am somebody, although that phrase was directed at my post. Usually you don't tell the person you are talking to that someone might have mentioned something they had already said. You just tell them that they said something, and you're choosing to ignore it.
Blanket statements covering other posts don't make up for your not reading the topic before continuing to post. I know I did. Every last post.

Criticizing people with "I said I was sorry! GAWD!" generally means you aren't sorry and were just apologizing to get out of something. Which means you didn't apologize, you just lied to everyone in addition to your hypocrisy.
So I'll "browbeat" away until its actually a point of remorse for you, because that is entirely warranted by your behavior.
