!!Some Spoilers!!
Halo: Reach is a game I find amazing and frustrating at the same time. I love the game play and story (even thought I already know the eventual outcome) It feels like a very natural evolution of the previous Master chief lead Halo games with tight controls and intense combat.
However a few things frustrate me about it.
1) Its based before the previous games and you are now a Spartan 1, but your have more armour choices (the armour load outs etc) than in with the newer Spartan 2 armour. Why??
2) Again, is based before the previous and yet there is more weapon and vehicle choice. A lot of which is more advanced than the previous games. Should the weapons not be cruder rather than cutting edge?
3) I just can get as involved in the story as I have in previous games. This includes ODST and Halo: Wars
4) Why would you not continue the story of the MC for your swan song of the IP
Dont get me wrong, I am a huge Halo fan. (not quite a fanboy but close). I have owned all Halo games to date and loved the series. I appreciate that story wise it doesn't do anything new, but the universe that has been built around the games is certainly easy to get caught up in.
In conclusion – Good game, tight controls, no prior Halo knowledge needed however as a Halo fan it's a bit of a let down for me.
