Been playing a cleric and really enjoying the class, but I want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

I generally follow the main assault group and support the front line advance. Hang back and heal/rez as needed (have a weapon with +rez). If I get lucky with sacred armor, I’ll start buffing people with it as fast as I can. Usually have 0 kills per game. That’s pretty much my entire strategy, which is simple (basically only using heal, rez, and SA [and SA only if I’m lucky – which I usually am not…usually end up with wall]), but I feel like it adds a lot to the team. Oh, and I’ll use dispel if I see the other team running around with milk carton heads.

Anyone have any advice using the other cleric spells?:

Sanctuary: nice in theory, but the radius is rather small, duration is short. The couple of times I’ve used it the opposing team just runs away from the buff refusing to fight the people in the buff. I hear people suggesting this as a good starter, but I think I’m missing something.

Wall: not sure when would be a good time to use this.

Dash: I’ve found it semi useful when fighting on the fringes and I have people on my tail, but seems too difficult to use reactively…would use it more to give me battlefield ambulance mobility but the duration seems pretty short.

I’m sure I’m missing better applications of these skills so I’d appreciate any suggestions…

i dont play cleric that much, but ive seen wall used in sever ways

if your gate is broken, basically can be used as a temp gate, for your team to fall back and defend... either were the gate was or right in front of the big tower

on the offensive, if seen it used in front of the enemies big tower, but behind your team, to give some time to hammer at the tower... depending on how many mages there are will depend on how effective it is...

i know sacred armor is huge, especially if the other team is abusing it as well, but if you have a good team, IMO its not a huge need, a good heal or rez in the right spot make up for it...ppl will certainly disagree, but pvp higher levels, my SA gets broken fairly quickly

hope that helps (my main is mage)

I honestly do not like Sanctuary at all. However, a well-placed Sanctuary can be helpful when fighting over towers.

Wall is mostly useless in a lot of cases. Though, it has great uses in uncommon situations. Wall can be useful if your gate breaks at your castle. You can greatly slow down the enemy push with Walls placed at the gate. Or, if you breech the enemies' castle, you can place Wall behind you near the big tower while you hammer away at their tower. Walls can also be used to block ballistics while you're team is building a battering ram. And of course, you can place walls on narrow pathways to slow down the enemy if they're chasing you.

Dash is insanely useful for getting you and your allies to places faster. Don't underestimate the power of speed. As for its usefulness in battle, it can help you get away or chase someone down. I personally wouldn't use Dash on someone while they're fighting. You should either heal them or help them fight.

    Transport - pretty much useless

Sacred Song - Good, especially if you launch it pre-game to give your allies a huge boost in AP.

Happy Miracle - Good if you can launch it in the right area.

Sacred Armor - Vital, it can make the difference in winning and losing. Helps you survive attacks that would kill you without it.

Dash - Ok, would be better if it lasted, but it doesn't and is too short. Better off adding mobility to your armor instead.

Wall - Good if you don't play with idiots, especially stupid bots.

I walled in a human player and 2 bots that were trying to build a ladder and the stupid bots decided to break down the wall letting in the enemies which easily killed them and broke the ladder.

Also, attacking the castle directly, using a wall to protect your allies, you'll have stupid team members attack the wall trying to get to the gate, instead of going around it to help your team attack the gate.

Wall is also great if you are going to the castle solo and trying to take the tower down.

Sanctuary - Ok mainly useful when trying to build/destroy and are being attacked.

Dispel - Ok Good if you are someone that sticks around your castle, removing enemies armor/enchants, removing lightning that has you trapped.

Resurrection - Vital, especially in Special Challenges. Best used inside of castle from upper level while your team attacks the tower.

    Personally, I would rate them

    1. Sacred Armor
    2. Resurrection
    3. Sacred Song

    Sanctuary is amazing for offense.

Sacred Song increases effective HP by about 5 times... use it every chance you get. It's a broken skill.

Happy Miracle is the best offensive skill in the game. It turns all enemies into 1 HP flowers so they can be instantly killed, revives all teammates in the area, and heals everyone's bars to full. It's hard to pull off, but can instantly win a team fight.

Cannons with Tactical Up do MASSIVE damage, which seems to ignore armor. I get multi-kills all of the time. Utilize them when they are effective.

Wall has its uses. For example, on the maps with bridges... you can wall of the entrance to the bridge while capturing an enemy tower. The desert map with the spiral tower area is an all-important tower to hold and it is easily defendable SOLO with Wall. The obvious ways to defend or assault the base as well.

Stay away from reviving due to the extensive cost. Revive only the super valuable teammates.

Healing and resurrecting are nice, but don't forget that you can use your cleric to create a distraction or to simply win the game.

If it seems like your team is getting pushed back into their base, you can sneak over to the other side and build a ladder on the side of their base and get into their castle. If you have dash and sacred armor, you can cause more immediate kinds of distractions and get away with them. (ex. taking the tower near their base, slapping their gate and running away)

Of course you can cause all of those distractions with other classes, but with the right set of the cleric abilities, it can be nearly impossible to kill a cleric.

By the way, the wall is nice to put up at the enemy's big tower stairs to stop your team from being hit by physical attacks. Also, it's nice to avoid being shot by ballista arrows while building a battering ram. There are a lot of situations you can use the wall.

    Best of luck!
